Near Balatoncsicsó, in an area now covered with forest, lies the Church Ruins of Ároktő, which belonged to Szentbereckfalva during the Árpád era. The first written record dates back to 1353, when the settlement was typically mentioned together with the neighbouring village of Árkfő.
The church was probably built in the 13th century. It has a single nave and a straight sanctuary with a west-facing entrance. The village, along with Árkfő, suffered destruction and depopulation during the Turkish era.
The church ruins have been deteriorating ever since. Today, only the remains of the side walls, the towers and the ruins can be seen.
