kisswinery is a small, family-run estate cultivating just 4 hectares of land. Their vineyards are located in one of the most beautiful areas of the Balaton Uplands, in the picturesque Nivegy Valley.
Both the winery and the family home are situated right in the heart of the valley, in the village of Szentantalfa.
Winemaking is a long-standing family tradition here – just like for many others in the region. For Csabi Kiss, the owner, wine and grapes have always been a central part of life. His winery still operates in his grandparents’ old cellar. Today, however, the wines are crafted using modern technology, including reductive methods and barrel aging.
Since 2019 our wine selection has been broadened with bottle-fermented, premium-quality Furmint and Rose champagnes, which are made from grapes from the Balatonfüred-Csopak wine region!
The kisswinery is also an active participant in the KóBor Tour. This initiative was launched by three family wineries in the Balaton Uplands. The tour gives visitors a taste of the Mediterranean atmosphere of the Nivegy Valley. It also offers the chance to try high-quality local wines and enjoy traditional Hungarian dishes with regional flair.
