It was built during the \u00c1rp\u00e1d era in the 12th and 13th centuries. It was partially destroyed during the Turkish wars..<\/p>\n<p>The building is Romanesque or Gothic in style, with a single nave and a western tower. In the 20th century it was bought by the founder of the modern Knights Templar order, George Lanz, who moved into the church. During this time he made minor alterations, which were removed when the ruin was partially restored. After the works in 2001, the centuries-old building can be seen today in the form shown in the pictures.<\/p>\n<p>Walking in front of the St. Bal\u00e1zs Church Ruin, you can enjoy a picturesque view of Lake Balaton, the Nivegy Valley and the nearby hills.
